  • At a previous organization, the process for onboarding new employees and offboarding departing ones was manual and inconsistent. This led to delays in granting necessary system access, potential security vulnerabilities with lingering accounts, and significant time spent by the IT team on these tasks.

    I spearheaded a project to automate and standardize the user lifecycle management process. This involved leveraging Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) for centralized user account management. I implemented automated workflows to provision and de-provision user accounts, assign appropriate licenses, and manage group memberships based on roles. For new hires, this included automated email account creation, software access provisioning, and initial device setup documentation. For offboarding, the process automatically revoked access, archived data, and ensured license reclamation.

    This project significantly reduced the time required for user onboarding and offboarding by an estimated 60% per instance.

  • At a prior organization supporting a large number of websites (over 7,200), the existing server infrastructure was hindering site performance, leading to slow load times and potentially impacting user engagement. Additionally, the backup strategy needed strengthening to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

    I led a strategic server host migration project. This involved a thorough analysis of current server performance and identifying optimal hosting solutions capable of handling the load and providing better responsiveness. I meticulously planned and executed the migration of all client websites to the new host, ensuring minimal disruption. Simultaneously, I bolstered the backup plans by implementing a more robust and reliable cloud-based backup solution with automated scheduling and retention policies.

    This strategic migration resulted in a 40% improvement in website load times across our sites, directly enhancing user experience and potentially improving SEO rankings.     I led a security enhancement project. This involved a multi-layered approach, starting with the implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) across all critical systems, including email and internal applications.

    To combat phishing and spam, I deployed and configured a robust email security gateway. Furthermore, I oversaw critical software upgrades to address known vulnerabilities. Recognizing the importance of user awareness, I likely implemented or supported security awareness training programs. The entire initiative was guided by best practices in security management.
